CAMPEÓN GABACHO-2026

Campeón Gabacho represented a key project in my career due to the high level of technical demand involved, particularly under the supervision of Alfonso Cuarón, who was not only attached as a producer but also actively involved in the day-to-day oversight of the project on set.

This level of involvement brought a strong emphasis on precision and execution, requiring a robust and adaptable approach to both camera and color workflows. The project demanded the implementation of multiple pipelines, driven by the complexity of the production — including a significant volume of VFX work and the use of different camera systems to achieve specific visual requirements such as high-speed and slow-motion sequences.

Additionally, the project was designed with a dual delivery in mind: theatrical exhibition and platform distribution. This required ensuring that all technical and color processes met the standards necessary for both cinema projection and streaming platforms, maintaining consistency and integrity across formats.

I also had the opportunity to collaborate with Pepe Ávila, AMC, a cinematographer with extensive international experience, including his work on House of the Dragon. Working alongside him added an additional layer of depth to the project and further strengthened the technical and creative exchange on set.

Campeón Gabacho stands as a technically demanding and creatively rigorous experience, reinforcing the importance of flexible workflows and precise execution in complex, high-end productions.
