The Rivals of Amziah King marked my first experience working on an American feature film, representing an important step in my transition into international productions.

While the project itself was relatively straightforward compared to other more technically demanding productions I had previously worked on, it was a meaningful opportunity to bring my knowledge and workflow approach into a new environment, collaborating with an English-speaking crew. Navigating the production in a different language required an additional level of focus and adaptability, and it was rewarding to see the process unfold in a natural and efficient way.

The experience reinforced my ability to communicate and operate within international teams, maintaining clarity and consistency across technical and creative processes regardless of language.

Another key aspect of this project was the opportunity to support the color grading process alongside Raúl Lavado, a close collaborator and mentor whose influence has been fundamental in shaping my approach to color. Contributing to this stage of the project added an additional layer of significance, both professionally and personally.

The Rivals of Amziah King stands as an important milestone, expanding my experience into international feature filmmaking while continuing to strengthen the connection between camera and color in my work.
